Connect the Dots Art Studio is excited to partner with Black Mountain Ranch to present an Natural Egg Dyeing Workshop at Black Mountain Ranch

Step into the beauty of West Marin for a creative afternoon at Black Mountain Ranch. Join the artists/educators from Connect the Dots Art Studio for a hands-on workshop exploring natural egg dyeing using plants and kitchen ingredients. Create beautiful robin’s-egg blues and warm cinnamon tones while learning plant-based stencil techniques.

Participants will also sketch local West Marin plants to create custom labels for their take-home egg jars.

Your experience includes:
• Natural egg dyeing workshop (all supplies included)
• Guided ranch walk with scenic views
• Visit with sheep and alpacas
• Tour of the three-story barn and Wool Studio
• Light farm-to-table charcuterie

Cost: $95 Adults | $25 Children (plus processing fees)

Please wear comfortable walking shoes.
No pets (working ranch).

Meadow as Muse Event

Saturday, May 16 from Noon – 2 pm Gualala Arts Center

Free • Space is limited RSVP required by May 9

Step into a hands-on, sun-powered art experience with Connect the Dots Art Studio at Gualala Arts. In this engaging cyanotype workshop, participants will experiment with light, natural materials, and design to create striking blue prints using an early photographic process that blends art, science, and a touch of magic.

Inspired by Meadow as Muse, the workshop encourages close observation of nature while exploring creativity, curiosity, and environmental awareness. Participants will be guided through a playful, accessible process and leave with their own unique artwork. (An alternate activity will be offered if weather requires.)

Event description

Working simultaneously on each piece, Rochester and Libby-Steinmann bring their individual practices into an active shared dialogue. Inspired by the natural landscapes of Marin and Sonoma Counties, the work reflects a deep sense of place, movement, and connection. The exhibition includes both large-scale and intimate works that emerge from a process rooted in responsiveness, trust, and collaboration.

Anna Rochester and Barbara Libby-Steinmann are co-directors of Connect the Dots Art Studio (CTD), a Marin-based arts nonprofit dedicated to building community through installations, workshops, and creative experiences.

Peace Festival presents Connect the Dots -A Community Art Project

Event description

Barbara Libby-Steinmann and Anna Rochester of Connect the Dots Art Studio, present this fun and free hands-on weaving project designed for all ages. The end result will be a Peace Tapestry on display in Community Center Courtyard. Previous weaving experience is not required and younger hands accompanied by an adult are welcome. Materials included. This project is free. All are welcome. Registration required. There will be an unveiling celebration on September 21st from 2-5pm.

This September, see how creativity meets sustainability! 

Marin Art and Garden Center and Connect the Dots Art Studio present an upcycled tapestry made by Bacich School elementary students under the guidance of art teacher Barbara Libby. Using discarded CDs and colorful yarn, students created 407 shimmering woven pieces—a joyful work of art born from everyday waste.

Don’t miss this inspiring display of young talent, community spirit, and creative reuse!

Closing Reception & Collaborative Weaving Revealed

Alas it’s time to  say goodbye to the fanfare and fun we all created during this time at The Studio Gallery. Connect the Dots Art Studio, Barbara Libby-Steinmann and Anna Rochester thank you all for joining in. We offer extended kindness to the Cynthia Pepper & Val Hornstein Family for allowing us to exhibit Cynthia Peppers botanical watercolor paintings. We hope some inspiration has passed along and you will come back to the Marin Art and Garden Center soon.
